broken nails

como andas? i hope you're all dandy and enjoying the sunny rays of summer. ahem to that last bit about the sunny rays. but i'm sure things are looking brighter!

i'm a tad excited because i have just discovered that 'lost' is back! in fact, i'm 4 episodes behind!! woohoo! 'lost' marathon!! IF they actually download before christmas (crappy connection). god i'm a geek!!

anyway, had a pretty good week/weekend. work was blah. except for a couple of interesting scenarios... one of our sweetest waitresses lost it and tore off her apron and stormed out the door swearing and yelling "i quit!" (she came back the next day though and i was glad to see her). and one of the customers called me over to show me a big fat juicy slug sliming all over her fork. how did that get in her salad??

had a surprise visit from chucky last week too! he's back from korea for a few weeks coz someone broke his jaw. we ate soup (poor boy can't eat solids) and drank coffee and just blobbed around here at dad and debs for a couple of days. nice :)

had a day off yesterday so spent it with ma and the little sisters. went to the warehouse and spent $25!! naughty me, i'm supposed to be saving for sth america AND japan. sheesh. but $25 is nothing, ey? especially considering that got me a cool hoody AND a shirt. bargain :). started knitting some cool hippy slippers too, to keep my man's feet warm in the chilly jap winter.

right! that's the update. but before i go i just want to say a HUGE congrats and 'love you!' to bethy and her brand-spanking new fiance tony!!!! can't wait to see you fullas in a couple of months :) the fish n' chips are on me!

i better go tend to my nails. long nails and waitressing just don't work.
