my traveling days are at last over, well, for a few months at least. just flew back from chch tonight after an extremely rad tiki tour of this beautiful country. am a little reluctant to unpack coz i really do like my little pack, but am partly relieved too to be able to stay long enough in one place to make a warm patch in a little town i call home.
first leg of the journey was to gizzy with ma. caught up with countless rellies for oma's 80th. sometimes it was a bit like being surrounded by a frantic flock of gaggling gulls and i needed my bubble, but mostly it was wondrous :). unfortunately oma was in hospital, but we were able to steal her away for some pro photos and a spot of lunch. hope you're making a speedy recovery oma! and thanks so much brento, yoko and myah-chan for having us!
then i bummed a ride to welly with kiff and mia. a little chilly down there but i bought some sexy boots and tight-ass jeans to combat the winter shivers! caught up with barb and whanau, and the gorgeous trines who helped me cook a mean lasange - the first meal i've cooked in about 9 months - true!
3rd stop was nelson. caught a wee plane over with andi and discovered we're famous in nelson... a nice photo of us on the exhilerator jet-boat ad at the airport!!! (had a ride on that the last time i was there). had a night out nelson styles with andi, kym and her young'un friends and danced my new boots into oblivion. and thanks so much karen and michael for putting me up!
and then i spent the last week in chch staying with my munchy! i must say how groovy claire's new place is, and how DANG groovier it will be once the renovations are finished. we travelled over to greymouth (which is not entirely grey when the sun is shining!! and the coast road up there on the west side is STUNNING) and stayed the night at claire's friend johnny's place. cool guy. spent some time with the littlest bro tato too which was grand :). can't believe he turned 19, yes 19!!!, yesterday... so i took him out for dinner to a nice wee japanese place and they were great to oblige with the bringing out of the birthday cake all surprising like :)!
now home, glorious home, and i really do suppose i should find myself a job. hope you've all been happy as larry over the past couple of weeks. do stop in and say 'ello :)
