i got this WHOLE weekend off: saturday and sunday... and... AND... i have monday off too!!!! i so deserve it though coz i just did a 7 day-in-a-row-working week. got some buds from highschool days together for a couple of 'reunion' drinks last night - d-boy, clare, ranga, chucks and me and after 2-second cheese and crackers at my house we flung ourselves into the raging furnace of fun that is out-on-the-town-whangas. complete with a (very) amateur firedancer. chucky had a turn and totally upstaged her. it was really rad to have a proper catch up and i hope we do it again real soon. GORGEOUS day here in the rei today, totally like summer, so me and debs went kayaking! we just pottered around the harbour - out to limestone island where we parked up on the beach and then walked to the top - pretty sparkling view - and through the mangrove forests where we saw heaps of those cormorants or shags or whatever nesting... even saw the bubbas in the nests! very national geographic :). i got stuck in a mangrove tree too. it was so fun and good to be out on the beautifu ocean and now i even have a really white watch patch on my wrist! :)

oh. my. god.

we needed onions so i could make spag bol for dinner but we didn't have any... and.... AND...... pa let me drive back from the supermarket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
